Project:National Trust Museum of Childhood
Location:Subury Hall, Derbyshire.
The project was to manufacture and fit-out displays and to co-ordinate specialist subcontractors to 9 galleries that tell the story of childhood through the ages. This included the re-creation of items that would have been used originally in a variety of trades and tasks. These items were sourced and faithful copies made that are able to withstand the demands of public access. The display units were constructed in conjunction with a design brief and installed into themed areas. The units were also produced so that specialist showcases could be integrated such that they blended in with the areas. Graphic installation was also themed and used to form a cladding to the showcases.
